Chapter 213: CNY Day 5

Today is the fifth day of CNY, but the break ends at the 4th day. Logically (and theoretically?), CNY lasts 15 days, so there should be 15 days of holidays!!!

It was a huge disappointment for me to watch Man U enter into their first loss of the campaign. To worsen the blow, they are the table toppers and they lost to a club at the rock bottom of the table (last of the table, 19 positions down for the benefit of those who work better with numbers) Quite unbelievable piece of fact. But there is a saying that the ball is round, anything can happen in football. Besides, Wolves had managed to topple big clubs this season as well... So.. maybe not that bad.

It was quite a joy to hear news of Liverpool beating Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford Bridge! This will widen the gap between Chelsea and Man U, which is beneficial for Man U's title race. The "betrayer" of Liverpool, as named by many L'pool fans, had failed to make an impact and was substituted in the 65 mins. What a laughable thing to hear.

Today during civics, we are doing on Total Defence and my group was doing Psychological Defence. It was indeed hilarious that my presentation focused all on pride and singing the national anthemn, but isnt that the truth? I said that "As a student, we're singing the national anthemn with pride. Like what we're doing every morning." Then I added, "We will serve the NS with pride and not because it is compulsory to do so." Then I continued "When we work, we will also work in Singapore and not work in other countries, cause we like Singapore!"

The part on "like what we're doing everyday" was said to create "effect" and impact for my presentation cause it isnt really true... lol, i did sing the national anthemn everyday, but whether with pride or not, I, myself, could not tell too...

The part about NS sounds exactly unlike me, but oh well... Its a presentation, I just could not ruin it.

The part about about working in Singapore and not in other countries IS ACTUALLY TRUE! Although I sounded abit sarcastic when I said it, I did it only to create the humour effect. In actual fact, I would definitely like to work in Singapore than other countries... I'm serious!!!

Econs lecture followed shortly after. There was an empty row of seats between the 1st row and 3rd row. Both are occupied by our class. Someone (i forgot who) asked why is there a gap. I replied that this is known as the social divide. When we decided to move up to the 2nd row, so that the "divide" is gone, I said that "We have bridged the social divide."
