Chapter 283: Farewell

Farewell, is actually a blessing, a good omen for A levels... fare well for the A's it seems to imply.
Farewell is something sad, but 天无不散之宴席. It is just a part and parcel of life we must bear with.
All the bad things (especially in terms of bad results) must come to an end and the good things (especially good results in A's) must come your way.

Although it seems cruel, really cruel, but with intense competition, what I'm going to hope for MUST come true. Hope that alot of people (excluding my friends for sure) screw up their A levels big time, left down up right center. So that they will be able to help us tank the bottom of the bell-shaped curve.

Went to the hall straight away for Farewell Assembly. Performances as per usual. Then come the videos. Interesting ones. The science dept made a vid that resembles a movie trailer. The maths dept were a vid that showed the teachers dancing. I never knew my form teacher can dance!!! GP made a video demonstrating the importance of GP ... which seems over-exaggerating. My Gp tutor was funny when it showed her doing christmas caroling in the vid.
Our principal then addressed us. She's leaving soon to TJC.

We then went to class for our result slips and entry proof. Ms Tan then gave us "Kinder Bueno" (the importance of the inverted commas as highlighted by my GP teacher.) and a pen. A pen that will get us the A's. If we didnt get an A, it just means that the pen is non-functional and we have the rights to demand an exchange, just that its all too late by then.
The class then gave out some "fun awards" to everybody.

We then went to the canteen to grab some snacks from Mr Poh.
Mrs Chng then came to give us snacks she bought for us.

The guys headed to play basketball for awhile, before playing capt's ball with the class. Tired after playing. Ate the "Kinder Bueno" before leaving to Nex with some classmates to have dinner, before heading home.

Anyways, I'm hopeful that Man Utd will win tomorrow :D

And today is probably my last day online, apart from mousehunting and email checking through my phone... So dont bother to check back here frequently. A levels will be over before I even know it! Meanwhile, let me enjoy my precious last moments with this comp before its hibernation.

Wishing all straight A's for A levels!

Chapter 282: Countdown to A's

1 more week of school and its study break for the A levels... time seems to be passing really fast now. Just 1 more week to studybreak, kind of hard to imagine.

Recently, my form teacher has asked us to make a fan (which makes me think of Korean fan.) during civics lesson. We are to make around 20 folds and our classmates are to write something for one another. The first thing that come to my mind was Korean fan, then savage blow (maplestory). It was the thing that get me excited over maplestory (the savage blow move.) So we just wrote and fold and passed around. The passing process was sophiscated... so I apologise if I missed out writing for anyone, it is definitely not intentional.
And I dont really know some people, so I just got to apply my template fully. For those closer friends, I can have semi-personalised message plus some of the template at times. And to make things more interesting, I tried my best to vary my template a little here and there.
After reading what was written, I can finally understand what my classmates think about me lol.

The school bookshop photocopying system is flawed... After asking the uncle to photocopy the Maths TYS for years 2007 - 2010. We just left happily with the photocopied TYS.
Only to realise later (or very late to be exact) that there are truncated versions for some papers... (that means some paper are incomplete and have pages missing...) What a scam.

Played basketball today. Nothing special except that there was a special appearance by one star player in the game. He is non other than the "Travelator." He is fond of travelling as his name suggests, just that it is used in the figurative manner, and it is used for basketball context. No wonder he can "perform" 9001 patterns during his lay-ups and finishing, he did it with excessive (or even obsessive amounts) or travel... Pure imbalancedness in basketball.

Yian then sprained his leg (again)... The last time was also when the "Travelator" was present. So we concluded that the "Travelator" was a jinx to yian - for spraining his leg.

Teck Chuan, Nwe, me and Binghui then went to join class 12/10 in playing tchoukball.
It was then that I realised that it was a fun game. I used to see Sports Club people playing it and think that it is a stupid game. Guess I was wrong. It is actually very fun, no wonder their passion and drive for it.

We (the above-mentioned people) then went for dinner with Jacquelyn, Jasmine, Rebecca at a coffee shop nearby AJC. We then went home after that.

Binghui and I were crossing the overhead bridge when we saw our bus 86 reaching the bus stop... and the best thing was that it is a double decker bus!
And we sprinted for it. Bh was already suffering from a blister on his foot earlier on.. nevertheless, he managed to reach the bus stop, when the bus was leaving the bus stop. He flagged the bus. The bus driver simply shook his hands, to shake us off, and refused to allow us entry... What terrible service standard.
We then waited very very very long for the next bus to come before taking it home. To make matters worse, this bus is packed and it is only a freaking single decker bus...

Anyways, I shall tell myself there is still 1 month to A levels and not the 30 + days which the latter will put ourselves to more stressful levels... 1 month seems longer than 30 days... although they are the same ..

Chapter 281: Transition Period

After prelims, and before the A levels, came the transitional period. And the worst thing about this is the results and the "no-feel" for studies...
Results for me were better as compared to mid years but not there yet.

Life is kind of interesting this week (or should i say last week...) Firstly, we went to NYP to eat (well, nothing special about this). Then there was this people conducting an interview regarding horoscopes. Binghui offered to give them the interview as he wanted to appear on TV... And that's not the worst yet. He gets to pull a friend along, and guess what...

So, Bh and I stood infront of the camera and we gave our inputs regarding horoscopes... whether we believe it or not, why, why not, do we pay attention to it, do we think it will come true etc etc...
It was soon over before I even knew it. And bh said he should have chosen yian instead so that everyone can see how far the height contrast was.

Another day, we went to Jacquelyn's house for the Bukit Timah Experience.
It was a very nice place with expensive and grand houses all around. There was this house that looked like the White House. Another house looks big and with a huge swimming pool. Another house has security cameras around its compound. Another house has 兵马俑 standing outside on guard.

On another day, we went to Burger Shack to eat burgers (obviously). Nice ambience there. And then had to endure the long bus ride home lol. And the worst of all is that both of us (bh and me) fell asleep on the bus ride... and we ended up in Hougang interchange instead of the bus stop (at xinmin to change bus)... So we ended up taking an alternate bus to the usual stop and I walked home. And it's long since I walked down that road. It was the road that I used to walk during my sec sch time.

On friday, we went to Jac's house again, but to play mahjong instead of studying this time. And it is worth a mention that during the last round, Jac found herself short of one tile and she doesnt want to continue the game anymore. So the 3 of us went on to finish the game in a three-way-battle. And horrors of horrors, when the 红中 came out from Binghui's hands on to the mahjong table... Yian has won the game by doing the legendary 十三幺. And it ended up that both of them are doing the 十三幺...

Moving on to soccer news. It is a very big relief for me to watch Man U score the first goal and eventually went on to win their game after drawing alot recently...
And I'm unhappy with Mio getting the rights to EPL coverage... Starhub is much better... Mio takes a longer time to startup as compared to Starhub's... and last saturday, when I wanted to watch their game against Stoke, Mio just gave me and my dad the purple screen of death... and we missed the match. (and luckily, it ended up a 1-1 draw.)

Oh, and probably getting economics result tmr... I wish I could pass...
