Chapter 171: Life after Promos

Life after promos was not as good as i thought...
First we were struck by the Econs retest.
Next came the massive PW sessions equipped with additional MT lessons.

After we completed our Written Report for PW, Oral Presentation comes to the picture. And 5 minutes of fame shall decide 40% of the PW grade.
MT A Levels is coming on monday, 1 Nov. The current grade i will possibly get is either a C or a B...

Results of promos werent that desirable either. With the exception of probably scholars and some insane alien brainers. Most of the top scorers for subjects were foreigners.. vietnamese scholars... and their results are mostly pervertic ones.. to the extent that people are struggling for a pass in that subject.

Once again, I am owned by GP. I never seem to conquer the GP monster.

Only around 50% of the cohort managed a 2 H2 and 2 H1 passes, which is equivalent to promotion. The others had their parents called up and had to come to college the next day. Some were given advancement despite not meeting the criteria, the lucky ones? Some were given a dreaded retest at december. And that goes their christmas and holidays... how cruel is that? Worse still, retain or even superannuation with no chance at a retest.
Anyways, for those who managed to get a retest, good luck, jy, conquer it and promote to JC2. I wish to see everyone in 17/10 promote to JC2.

Oh and i hope that monday's MT paper will be suitable for me to conquer it. I hope a miracle struck and i can get an A for it... I wish the PW oral presentation will be a success and get an A for PW... PW really saps lots of time and i really want to screw that person who invented it in the year 2000.

I also hate the fact that admission to university is like so damn difficult.. u need >70 rank points for uni and >80 for popular courses!?!?!? And the max mark u can get is like 90!?!!?!? Which really mean at least B for all subjects and worse case only 1 C!?!? omg... GP is still refusing to let me conquer it...

And i am really sad that there is no more katekyo hitman reborn anime already.... screw it.

Chapter 170: Results Day

I sounded the Hunter's Horn, but my efforts were fruitless. A GP Monster Mouse ate a piece of cheese without setting off my trap.

Additionally, the power of this mouse crippled my courage, setting me back 10,000 points!

Thankfully for the existence of cancer, i managed to pass my biology. If not, i would have been pawned by biology too. But that doesnt mean that i want people to contract cancer.. i just like the discovery of it but not the feeling of people getting it.. you know why? Because I'm nice. That reminds me of the truth or dare question posed during the BBQ. They asked someone if i'm nice. Well, thats a pretty rhetorical question. Obviously the answer is yes, of course i am nice.

Oh, for econs. The dept said that they will come up with a complex formula to calculate our marks. That made me ponder if the calculation is done by adding in trigonometrical functions (e.g. sine, cosine,tangent) then they integrate it with respect to x? Then Yi An suggested that maybe they will ask us to differentiate then integrate our marks... then we will proceed ahead to do binomial expression of the marks. If u managed to do the calculation correctly, 2 marks will be awarded for the econs paper. But thats more like maths now... :X

Talking of Yi An, the first page of his econs paper. The comment was "Why is this box empty" Well, he forgot to circle the question number he is doing. The worse is yet to come. When u flip to the next page, HE WROTE THE WRONG QUESTION NUMBER! The comment written was something like this: "Why is this question 1? If this was the A Levels, you will get zero."

Chapter 169: Post WR

Today is the advanced deadline we got to meet for our WR. So the night before, we rushed till 1 am. And I ended up like a zombie during sch.. well not really zombie, but was kind of tired, but i still managed to fight my way awake.

We touched up on our WR and added and cutted alot of words. Until we're left with 2966 words. Which is well in the range of 2500-3000 words. Not going near the word count is a terrible feeling! Cause it shows the lack of content? Nevertheless, we shall just do with 2966 since we've been reading the WR alot of times... and more readings will cause our minds to memorise the whole WR and be able to recite our WR from back to front. So.. we just stick wif that word count and printed that at the library. And burnt that into a disk, though no fire is used in the process, we successfully burned the disc and handed it up.

What a relief that WR is removed from our lives now...

Oh just to share smth i heard from my friend, whom i forgot who that person is...
The words of wisdom is "Singapore is just like Genting Highlands. First, they have the theme park and we have our Escape Theme Park. Next they have the Casino and we have 2 casinos here in Singapore. Lastly, HAZE!"

Well, the difference is the feeling the haze gives u. Genting highlands haze kill by throwing your temperature to the negative while sg haze kill by throwing temp up high?!?! And furthermore, they are harmful to the respiratory system...

Oh oh mousehunt has this halloween event!! I must get the LE Trap no matter what!!

Oh, and i think i'm going to play pool @ kovan tmr. With my sec sch frens.

Chapter 168: BBQ and post BBQ

BBQ for class 17/10 on 17/10/2010.
Initially i didnt want to go as i need go grandparents hse on sunday and alot of things i never eat.
But these 2 problems are settled. I went grandparents hse on saturday instead as the washing machine is coming on sunday. And i somehow got persuaded to go by matthew.
So i went.
First of all, i reached first actually. I saw no one so i decided to walk around and when i walked back, some girls were already there. No guys, how sad it was.
And that yi an ended up pangseh-ing me. He said he will be damn late in his sms to me -.-
In the end, it was matthew to the rescue at around 3.45-4.00pm.
So we went to michelle's hse and we played cards.
Lots of diff card games and diff players. So i will skip this..
The food wasnt really worth it but the choice isnt there. $15 for bee hoon, with vegetables filtered, sausage, chicken, and marshmallows.
The last part was truth and dare, which will not be disclosed, as the truths and dares are unsuitable for underaged kids and this is a general site.
And that non-brother binghui came at around 7-8 which is like damn late. And we left around 10. Binghui, yi an and i went to 7-eleven to catch a drink. Then, bh and i went home via my dad's car.

Overall, it was a great outing or should i say bbq.

The next day, which is today. I will only bring out highlights.

Highlight #1:
Junfeng was talking about shotgun marriages.
Then someone explained it was 先上车，后补票
Yi An didnt seem to get it and asked in the most innocent look u can imagine him having: "huh? then the bus driver wont angry meh?"

Highlight #2:
My teacher did a video recording of our oral presentations. And junfeng, while presenting, he forgot the words for the speech. He turned his head to the side and moved his mouth, murmuring some vulgarities, then continued his speech. That was just damn epic.

Chapter 167: Post promo life

First of all, promos gt extended for a reason that i am in no position to disclose.
Next, there are tons of pw to do... thankfully my teacher said that my grp WR is ok.
And Mother Tongue is back to make us suffer.
Today, there is JC2 farewell assembly. Videos were shown by the teachers from the depts. And we discovered that teachers are creative too.
For chem, teachers relate their messages to the entropy change and reaction kinetics.
Bio referred to polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and etc etc
Phy did a song, with the lyrics reworked to suit the theme. The song was the theme song for the taiwanese drama serial love. a.k.a. 爱
Arts dept did inception.
And so on...
PE Dept showed a video that i SAW BEFORE. I am sure it is stolen from somewhere else. I saw it in the mousehunt forum!!!! Someone posted it there to say that we shouldnt buy that trap for mousehunt cause the trap sucks. The PE dept just stole this to write that "luckily, i went through AJ PE."

Oh, op workshop was good. We gained more insights on OP. LOL. and the instructor asked us to use clipboard instead of cue cards. BUT the OP lect said that we shld use cue cards and not paper... so what!?!?!

Hmm i really hate the fact that the anime series of katekyo hitman reborn has finished and i dislike having to wait for the next season of it ..

Post promos is really different from expected. I expect it to be a play till you drop thing. But now its PW till you drop. And after you drop, thats insufficient, you need to be tortured by it further :X
And just as PW is pawning us, MT joins in the fun to get the assist (just like the case in dota, just do 1 hit or cast a spell for that assist.)

Oh and i might be working on my hydroconquest map... just maybe..

Chapter 166: Warcraft Struggle

Due to the fact that i am famous and i am renonwed, people all over the world is fighting for me to play warcraft with them. Well, i got 3 group of friends who play warcraft and that makes it difficult to decide who to play with at times.. and most of the time i'm busy with pw, so i got to abandon all 3. Sometimes, i have the sudden surge to mapmaking till i reject all 3 invitations lol.. but i do feel bad at times and i decide to postpone the map and play.

Presenting to you the 3 groups.

The 1st group is my current JC class people, who are high after the promos.
The 2nd group is just darren leong and nicholas khaw..
The last group is the group i played frequently with last time. The xinmin people.

Well, I just played with the last group yesterday, the 1st group this morning and yesterday. So.. the 2nd group is missed out... but they asked me during the time i doing pw... just the wrong timing..

Ok, to lift your spirits up, here is a brain teaser:

Three friends check into a motel for the night and the clerk tells them the bill is $30, payable in advance. So, they each pay the clerk $10 and go to their room. A few minutes later, the clerk realizes he has made an error and overcharged the trio by $5. He asks the bellhop to return $5 to the 3 friends who had just checked in. The bellhop sees this as an opportunity to make $2 as he reasons that the three friends would have a tough time dividing $5 evenly among them; so he decides to tell them that the clerk made a mistake of only $3, giving a dollar back to each of the friends. He pockets the leftover $2 and goes home for the day! Now, each of the three friends gets a dollar back, thus they each paid $9 for the room which is a total of $27 for the night. We know the bellhop pocketed $2 and adding that to the $27, you get $29, not $30 which was originally spent. Where did the other dollar go????

Chapter 165: POST PROMOS!

And once again its another post promos review!
Before that i would like to say that my comp looks extremely nice.
Everything looks so big. including mousehunt :O
Thats the result of the 10 days drought probably.
There is only one remedy for this drought: warcraft.

The first big thing on the day was GP paper. Followed by MT.
The run was exhausting and 2 papers (mainly paper 1 and 2)
It was too much for my little brain to take.
When i was doing the MT paper. There was this annoying background sound that makes my head ache.... and i thought its because i gone crazy after doing too much chinese...
It finally stopped after a while and i know im still normal, depression doesnt want to take me in yet. Ok, now to rate the papers. GP essay was ok hopefully and the same goes for paper 2. MT was difficult and its too much for yi an to take. Matthew commented that when he was doing the ques, he was wondering how is yi an goin to do this ques!

Next up was econs and bio, 2 subjects that shouldnt fall on the same day but still did somehow.. Econs was -.- Why on earth did they test on macroeconomics impacts for casestudy and mr lim said that that wasnt impt during tutorials. We mistaken it for the hint? Bio was full of application... and most things i memorised just dont seem to be put into gd use here... The essay questions... all were abt cancer -.-

Wednesday was the chemistry paper. I'm hopeful to pass this, tgt with my bio...

Thursday which is today, is the legendary AJC maths paper. It was ok to me, maybe because i expected the maths paper to be very hard. I'm already mentally prepared to take this maths paper... And i hope i can do well too..

NOW ITS TIME TO PARTY CAUSE THE PROMOS ARE OVER!!!
