Chapter 293: Post Xmas

First, I will reveal the answer to the question that I posted at Chapter 291. (please read that before this chapter.)
So, you have spent your entire Christmas and holidays thinking of what dhl means.
In order to save the remaining of your brain cells, I shall provide the answer.

If you hit the "Give up" button at chapter 291, you are given a prompt.
It says "That is for me and my 2 friends to know, and for you to find out."

You must have thought that I'm just fooling around with you. Then it is here, where you are terribly wrong! Cause that is actually the hint !! Didn't you realise that?
Well, now you do. That is actually a hint disguised within a sentence that (irritates?) you.

Now I will explain the hint.
It lies within "me and my 2 friends"
Now, try and connect that with dhl. Do you realise a similarity?

The magic number 3.
dhl has 3 letters.
"me and my 2 friends" has/have 3 persons involved.

This weekend (or should I say the previous) was a joy for me!
Man Utd 5-0 Wigan
And that is accompanied by City 0-0 draw with WBA, Liverpool 1-1 draw with Blackburn, Chelsea 1-1 draw with Fulham, and Arsenal 1-1 draw with Wolves. What a great weekend as Man Utd goes to second place, levelling on points with leaders City, only losing out in goal difference of 5 :)
The goal diff initially was alot, now they closed it down to 5.

Went to NEX during boxing day. NEX has poor internet connection, forcing me to rely on Wireless@SG (which dont work at times too...) for mousehunt...
Ate fishball noodles with my parents before shopping around.
Bought swimming goggles in preparation for the NS.
Bought pants in preparation for CNY.
Then, we went to Swensens to have ice-cream. I ate my favourite ice-cream there: The Cookie Summit.

Chapter 291: Xmas Eve

At press time, it is Christmas Eve at 1:28 AM.

I don't know why but I've been dreaming alot nowadays...
And they are of all the most ridiculous thing that you can ever imagine...

I dreamt of going to University already -.- (and to think I have yet to pass the NS level...)
Don't ask me what course or what university... cause that just doesnt seem to come to play in the dream...
After lesson with the new classmates (I don't know how my mind conjured up random people faces that I have never seen before...), I took a bus home.. to my previous home at Bedok Reservoir.... (and to think I have moved house 6 years ago ...)

That is not the most absurd thing.

On the way home, I witnessed a gang chasing a guy... they're holding knives. I avoided them. And again... I met another gang stabbing another guy... After that, one of the gang member looked at me. Immediately, I said "我什么都没有看到." and raised my hands in the surrender style. I walked away hurriedly. Strangely, they didn't pursue the matter and did not chase after me. LOL.
And I woke up around this time.

Today, I went to People's Park Complex, went to the Five Stars Tour Agency to confirm our visit to Genting.
It is required of us to pay 940 dollars.
Which is an astronomical figure for poor kids like us.
So, I spoke to Teck Chuan (TC).

Below is a simplified version of the conversation (I forgot the exact words lol)

Me: TC, do you happen to have 940 dollars on you? The trip needs 940 dollars.
TC: No. I don't have so much...
Me: Oh, nevermind. 900 dollars also can. :)
TC: Eh, who are you ah?
Me: ... Nicholas. Anyway, if you can come up with 900 dollars, we can settle the rest.
TC: Ah where to find so much money.. nevermind, I will try and get 900 dollars.

Later...

TC SMS: Anyone have tissue (paper)? My blocked-runny nose is bad
My reply: Will paper do?
TC reply: Haha. Very funny. Nicholas! Dx

Chapter 290: In search for ways to spend time

During school days, we complain that there are too many things to study and too little time.
During holidays, we complain about too little things to do and too much time.

Due to this, I will tell myself to think of the sufferings during sch days... in order to enjoy having too much time. I rather have nothing to do, than have alot of things to do. (lol, lazy character ah?)

Moreover, I better enjoy life before suffering in the army ...
That's why I somehow dropped the idea of working... anyways, the office jobs that I enquire requires long-term job committments, which I am unable to comply due to NS reasons and I need time for a break (and to have a kit kat.)

So one fine day, I decided to go out with Nich Khaw (nk), we went to hougang to have lunch at KFC. We then went to Dhoby Ghaut and found out that Zhenglin is unable to join us due to internship.. So we walked around Plaza Singapura. We stormed into "Marks and Spencers" and tested every tester we could found.. spraying the perfume tester, etc etc and smell.. and looked around. We looked at everything (almost), from sports items to Daiso items. At Daiso, we even played with the bread roller, treating it as a sword haha.
We went around looking for the "Rockband" game for xbox. But to no avail. They stopped production already. And we even looked at guns and swords.
We went into arcade too, to watch people play. To hold the gun and pretend we're playing... (at the "Time Crisis 2/3/4", etc )
We then watched people playing Street Fighter lol.

Then, Darren Leong joined us after bowling with his classmates. He asked us for our purpose of coming out.

And we told him...

To waste time.

Indeed. We then shopped around Carrefour and then went home.

The next day, I went out with my cousins and aunts (including sis and mum) to Vivo City. Been long since we went out together. Shopped around alot of stores (mainly selling clothes..)
We then went up the "Logo Hope" Ship in hope to see something awesome and it ended up they are selling books -.-
We then left that place asap as books are our weaknesses.

My sis then wanted to eat at around 4-5 pm ... when we already had lunch at around 1 plus? And its nowhere near dinner time. So we searched high and low for Long John Silvers. After that, shopping commences.
We then went for dinner at Kopitiam. We then headed home.

Long hours of shopping rendering my legs very tired.

Man Utd beat QPR 2-0 to top the table for few hours...
until Arsenal just have to lose to Man City 0-1...
Why cant City just lose... seriously lol.

Nevertheless, Man Utd should be back on track to their winning ways.. and hopefully is consistent till the end. As long as they win all of their remaining games, the title is theirs :D

What an achievement for me for a 270 pages book in CHINESE.

Chapter 289: Dreams

Recently, I've been dreaming about all kinds of things.. including weird things...
I've dreamt about getting into a drug trafficking job... and they were hidden (camouflaged) among some other stuffs in a grocery store.. When I went there, the police arrived shortly after... They arrested me of course.
But I did not get into the police car. I was asked to go on top (on the roof) of the van and I'm supposed to keep my balance there...I was lying flat down on the van, face facing the van. And they drove into the KPE (oh gosh, of all places an underground tunnel ><) And the worst thing is that the underground tunnel has its ceiling lowered (for whatever the reason...) So I barely fit and scrap through...

What a crazy dream. I woke up then.

Going back to sleep, a second dream appeared...
I was in the classroom where my teacher gave out the A level results for Biology. (only Biology, strange... and why did it happen in the classroom instead of the hall? Beats me.)
The funny thing is that u actually get to see your marks instead of the grade... and freaking hell... I got 47/100 -.- An supposedly E grade. Nevertheless, I still prayed to that the bell curve will push my grade up... I was sad, so sad and the dream continues... (haiz)
I walked to a coffee shop and went up to the Mixed Vegetable Rice Stall. After finishing my order, I delayed awhile before heading forward to collect the food (for some unknown reason...) Then, the uncle told me that I took too long and they had thrown the food away already... (what?! They waste the food just like this... ) So I had to queue up again... and in the end, the queue was too long and I gave up.
I headed for Macdonalds and my dad appeared out of the blue (dreams are just so weird...) I looked at the menu displayed at the cashier... Macdonalds sell all the weird kind of food with Italian names -.- and I dont know what they are.. and I'm pretty sure I dont eat them either.. Dejected, I walked back to my seat. Surprisingly, my dad managed to purchase McChicken Meal for me... when that wasnt in the menu at all... I was really touched then LOL.

And I woke up from my dream.

Soccer News.
Glad that Man Utd recovered and beat Wolves 4-1. Glad that Tottenham suffered 1-2 defeat to Stoke. Hopeful that Chelsea will beat Man City tonight. Supporting Chelsea at least for once... but I'm not watching it as it is 4am... and I dont normally watch soccer matches that dont involve Man Utd.

Chapter 288: Disappointment

I shouldnt have woken up at 3.45am to watch Man Utd play the Champions League... They crashed out of it at 1-2 defeat to Basel... like what on earth are they doing..
Its saddening to see them qualifying for Europa League... but I will not watch those games anymore to avoid more disappointment... I hope they really can win the Europa League at least...
Haiz... and the Premier League of course... they need to buy, no, they seriously need to, buy a world class midfielder in the January transfer window... or they are gone...
They are a real disappointment...

Hope Saturday's EPL match against Wolves will be a good match where they bounce back..
It's hard to switch support to another team... so I guess I'll have to stick with Man U and hope they wake up and win their games...

Chapter 287: The lunch

Some of the 402 guys had lunch yesterday at 12.45pm, the organiser is Randolph. If you are not invited and feels bad about it, go find him. lol, just kidding, he lost most people's number i think, so is unable to contact many people.
With my time planning skills, I reached the designated place at 12.30 -.- It's overly early... so my planning skills can be considered as ridiculous. Well, its been long since I returned to my sec sch... so I forgot the time required to go there and it is also affected by the time that I travel (i.e. peak and non-peak hours)

On the journey there, I keep telling myself not to be blur and travel to AJC instead. Thankfully it paid off well.

So, I reached there and camped there. Weiming and Randolph came along around 1245.We walked down the path to the coffee shop and saw a well-dressed James (who went for an interview earlier on). Off to the coffee shop we headed for lunch. Soon after, Dabo, Darren Leong, Nic Khaw, Jefferson joined us.
We ordered food respectively.
We chatted while eating too.
Later, James left while the rest of us went for a game of basketball.

The 2 courts are occupied. So, nk, darren and I went to sit around at the playground, while the rest attempted to steal the court.
And they succeeded!

So the 7 of us played. Initially, darren didnt play as he is tired from prom the previous day. So we 3v3.

Thankfully, Randolph didnt play seriously, NK is still tired after returning home at 8am (due to prom), and Jeff first time playing Basketball. So, we won.

We then managed to force darren to play with us and we played 4v3.

It was insisted that Randolph be on the 3 man team as he is a pro in bball. So we played and jeff had to leave halfway after an (urgent?) phone call.
We then continued the game at 2v4.
Thanks to the extremely pro Randolph, and the luck I have, we won the game.

We then headed to a nearby minimart for drinks before heading home respectively.

Its been long since I last played basketball, it was a good game indeed. And really, I was terribly lucky on that day. I managed to score alot of balls that will normally be a total failure... and a good laughing stock.. really.

And now... my foot is suffering from the blisters!! Had a bit of trouble walking back home after the bus ride lol.

Oh anyways, the lunch was meant for Dabo, who is leaving for China on thursday.

Champions league match tonight. Man Utd MUST win to seal the round of 16 in the Champions League... do not let 2005 repeat itself... please... I'm hopeful. I think I will watch the game 3.45am tonight.

Chapter 286: Post-A's

After struggling for 9001 years, A levels is finally OVER!
And lets not talk about exams anymore, lets forget the past and look forward to the future...

After Bio MCQ paper, I went to Marina Barrage with my classmates to fly kite, lol. And of course we chatted. Then we went to Pizza Hut @Plaza Singapura for dinner! Binghui and I slipped home while the rest planned to pay Esplanade a visit.

bh wanted to get ear piercing, so we went to compass point. But horrors of horrors! The 77th street is closed by the time we reached.. so we just set off for home sweet home.

The next day, which is friday the 2nd, which is today, I woke up early and left home for YCK mrt station to meet Desmond and Dabo. It was a surprise birthday celebration for Darren L.
I never expect 86 to be packed at this hour... When I reached, Desmond was there and he said that Dabo will be late. So we waited for him. Time was of essence - It was 10am, and Dabo hasnt reached yet. Thankfully, Desmond decided to take safety measures, and he sent a SMS asking darren if he is going to school (he wanted to track his location and whether he is leaving house, in case we reach his empty house to talk to his four walls.) Darren said that he got a lunch reservation with his family at 11am... So theoretically, he needs to leave home before 11... and its 10 now...
AND THEN!
Our bus came... and Dabo is nowhere in sight.
Luckily,
there was a handicapped person in wheelchair, who required assistance from the bus driver. He saved us. The bus is delayed until Dabo finally came and we boarded the bus.
On the way there, my sec sch chinese teacher boarded the bus, and we smiled to each other.
He came to us and asked us about the A levels and whether we will be interested in local or overseas university.
We alighted one stop after my teacher and realised we have alighted one stop later... which means we should alight together -.-
And did I mention that it was raining...
So we ran all the way, braving through the rain, protecting darren's gift at all costs! (He better be touched for our efforts.)

We settled to meet him at a void deck near his house. It was not much of a surprise as we need to tell him to not leave for his lunch so early.. we need to give him his gift... The only surprise that was left was what actually was the gift.
So our plan to surprise him at the doorstep failed...
So we gave him the gift when he came.

And the gift was ...



Note: Shirt and person sold separately.

He was happy of the gift of course. It's 1000000 times better than his previous gifts of G-string and condom during the sec sch years (Note: I did not buy those for him. I'm not that bad haha)

We wanted him to wear that shirt into the hotel (where he is having lunch later.), regardless of whether he will be thrown out by securities or not.
The second alternative we gave him was to wear that for prom night.
Imagine if he walk into Starbucks with that outfit, what priceless expressions will it draw?

So we left him for his celebrations with his family.

We then left to AMK Hub for lunch, before heading to the library to wait for Randolph.
Dabo is studying for his SAT, while I'm meddling with my phone, together with Desmond and Randolph who joined us later. We are all laughing at Dabo for having to study while we can relax LOL.
We then chatted awhile before leaving.
