Chapter 342: Unluckiness

The unluckiness meter has just struck its maximum.

Yesterday, someone didn't return a key. In the end, everyone had to stay back till a later timing... That person had left early for driving and is uncontactable due to that reason... So we had to wait till we find the key. Luckily, there is a password locking system to the door, which saved us from staying further into the night.

P.S. A lot of detailed information is omitted from the above paragraph due to confidentiality and classified information.

So, I went home at a later timing that day.

Also, I am caught with a sore throat, runny nose and cough.... Sian.

Today, the sore throat gets abit better. Runny nose worse due to the cold weather arising from the rain... plus the aircon...

Moreover, the bus that I took home today met with an accident... though a minor one... it delayed the trip home too....
It brushed past another bus exiting from the bus stop... causing it to knock against the exiting bus's mirror and it broke off of course... a small part of the bus chipped off as well... both buses are down then. So I had to change to another bus... to get home at a later timing... haiz.

Double bad luck.

Maybe the rainbow will come after the rain...

Chapter 341: Extended weekend

Sunday: Went to grandparents' house as usual, rejecting calls from friends to go out (to watch movie). Proof that I am imbalancedly filial. I am just that good.
Ok, that's not the main point. We went for a change, we upstaged a revolt, and ignited a revolution. We went to Changi Airport to eat our dinner due to the increasingly hot weather. So, we sat off in 2 cars, 1 driven by my dad, another by my cousin.

We wanted to go to "Xing Wang Cafe" initially. Unfortunately, power supply failed them, and they do not have static generator nor mobile generator as backup. So, the business just flown away. Ah, now you can see the importance of my job: Getting electricity up and running when the usual source fails you :) So, do not neglect my job's importance, or suffer pitch blackness. Muahahahaha.

So, we ate at "Crystal Jade Restaurant" instead. The place was nice, that's about it. haha, just kidding. The food is nice too, but they could be less stingy on the serving size... We ended up keep adding on to our orders as the serving size is just... too small?

After that, we went to take part in the Changi Millionaire thing. The result of the draw is that we freaking won a 清一色 !!

Monday: Around afternoon time, my family and I went to take the MRT down to Orchard to go to Takashimaya. This is due to the exorbitant parking rates at that area. So, my sis went to buy swimming costume and goggles. Later, I went to "Cotton-on" to buy some clothes too. Oh, and we ate at KFC for dinner. 2 times of KFC in 3 days for me and my family... while it is 3 times for my sis... weird choice.
KFC is the cheapest? option there apparently... and most importantly it is fast food!

Went home around late afternoon/evening/early night via the MRT again.

Slept as early as 10.30pm, only to wake up at 3am to watch EPL match.. Everton vs Man Utd. Disappointing play, disappointing scoreline... waste of precious sleep time ...

Soccer is a cruel game. No matter how many chances, how much possession, how many corners, how many fouls, how many free kicks, how many offsides, etc, what matters to the end, in a match, is only the goals... but it never come for United... something that I'm looking forward to that night? or should I say morning?

Anyways, I slept at 5am, woke up at 6.40am in preparation for work later on...

Now to find ways to repay this sleep debt.

Chapter 340:

Just realised it's been 10 days since I last posted... well, there isn't much happening in my life that's why...

Anyways, no worries. I will try to conjure out something from thin air.

Soccer: Finally, EPL is back. I finally have soccer matches to watch on Saturdays... unfortunately, Man Utd's starting game is on a Monday night/Tuesday morning.. at a freaking timing of 3am... how how how. Why can't it be on Sat or Sun... maybe I will sleep early on Monday night to attempt to watch the opening match haha. I'll see how it goes...

Shocking results on the opening day of EPL. Stalemate at Emirates. Two times 5-0 thrashing by Fulham and Swansea. 3-0 defeat for L'pool. Newcastle vs Tottenham match underway 0-0 at press time.

Hopefully, S'hampton get a result at Ethiad, and Utd get a good result at Goodison Park.

Played basketball on friday. Been a long while since I last played that game. As usual, I still play lousily despite playing it for a year last year. haha, I'm not meant for sports I think.
Played around 1 hour. Ended up with a shirt full of sweat... as if there has been a heavy downpour.
I ended up with pains everywhere... due to lack of exercise haha, sudden strain of muscles... it has to be... my hands, my legs, my back, everywhere, you name it.

Need to exercise more... hmmm...

Oh, there is this news about allowing camera phones into SAF camps in future? Well, doesn't matter much to me... since I have already invested in my blackberry... and my line will not expire in the near future... will still stick to my current phone regardless... I guess iphone and I are not meant to be until after ORD. This is something that only poor kid will experience. With that said, all donations welcome and purely voluntarily.

I think that's about it? I have used up all my energy to conjure up so much things out of nothingness... taken a great toll on me already. So I guess it's time to say goodbye now.

Chapter 339: National Day Week

Tues: After some tiring and tortourous journey taking bus home, this day, my cousin came to fetch me from camp. He fetched me to Mount Faber SAFRA there. As coveralls is not allowed outside, I had to bring along civi to change.. which I did in the car, which of course is easy considering my experience in changing in cars.

We then proceeded to the Emart to buy running vest and shorts, as the ones I bought before are too big.. as they didn't have the smaller size at that point in time.

After that, we left for Vivo City. We went there for dinner. I wanted to eat at Burger King, but luck is not on my side... there are no seats available for us to dine in. Sad to say, BK lost the business and handed it over to KFC. I ate Zinger Burger Meal. The meal consists of 1 coleslaw and 1 mashed potato.. and I only eat the latter. Thankfully, my cousin is nice enough to swap with me so that I get 2 mashed potatos, and he got 2 coleslaws.

We then walked around awhile, before leaving for home.

Wed: Half Day. Left camp at around 1330 hrs. Took a cab to attend the chalet held by my trade. We told the taxi uncle "NSRCC". He did not know where that was -.- So, we had to search for it via smartphones, and call people to ask... in the end, we were told that it is around Tanah Merah Country Club area. With that and some pointers from Desmond Tan, we got there. And it was unfortunate for Arvind, who left his beret in the taxi...

We then went to the chalet. Changed from no. 3 to civi, sit down, watch TV (olympics mainly), drink, eat.. played awhile of Mahjong without money (we are good people that do not gamble).

Then, the striking problem in hand... how do we get out?!

Option 1: Shuttle bus
Option 2: Private transport
Option 3: Walk out
Option 4: Unorthodox manners (e.g. cycle, rollerblade)

I was thinking about that around 7.10pm. The shuttle bus timings are 7.15 and 8.45. 7.15 is sure a miss, 8.45 is kind of late. Oh, during this time, Jefferson called me to ask me out for movie... so I had to get out of this place asap... so, I settled for option 2, to wait for Jian Hui's dad to fetch us.

So we waited till 8.30 before we are out. He fetched me to Kembangan MRT, I then changed train from green to orange, from orange to red, to AMK. Rushed down to the pool place to find Jeff and friends.

Played 2 matches with them, 2 vs 2 format, won both with Jeff, against Zheng Lin and Liang Xing.
We then went to watch the movie "The Bourne Legacy".

ZL had to leave early before the movie ends, so the remaining 3 of us continued to watch until around 12.20am.

---Realisation struck me---

How to get home?
MRT gone
Bus? Rushed to check the timing... 2330 hours. WHAT?!
Taxi? I just spent a considerable sum last saturday...

So, I called home to seek assistance. I asked if my dad could fetch me... He fetched me, with my family, at 1 am. The worse thing is that he had to wake up 5.30am tmr.. I feel bad.
I shouldn't have agreed to watch the movie... damn.

Chapter 338: Steamboat

Went out from home at around 4.40pm. Met Binghui and Samuel, before going to Jacquelyn's house with Bh. We reached the Botanic Gardens MRT station at a later timing than the stipulated 5.30 timing.

Went straight to Smaths, where bh had tuition last time. He wanted to ask about the points he accumulated from there... and see the worth of the gift he can redeem.

We then headed straight to Jac's house. The gates were opened when we were there, so we just walked straight in and made ourselves at home LOL.

Jac's sis helped us to on the TV, and so we watched a show, which I could not remember what it was.

Around 10 minutes later, more people arrived. We continued watching TV.

Steamboat started moments later.

After the steamboat, Yian, bh, me and Leong Shuen went to play daidi for 3-4 rounds. I got some imba cards during the 1st and 2nd round and won quickly haha. We then went with 1 round of bridge, with Pamelyn instead of LS, as the latter forgot how to play bridge.

We then took some group/class photos.

We then proceeded to play the drinking game. The so-called punishment/forfeit is to drink a cup of mixture of Whisky and Coke light/7UP (or was it Sprite).

There were 52 cards in a poker card deck. We sat in a circle and drew one card in an anti-clockwise manner.

Ace-5: Drink according to the number drawn ( Ace means 1 mouth, 2 means 2 mouths and so on...)
This is sub-categorised into black or red cards (diamond and hearts are red, spades and clubs are black). Red means u can choose to make someone else drink, while you have to drink it yourself should you draw a black one.

6: Toilet card. (need to draw this in order to go to the toilet, so everyone is forbidded to visit the toilet during this game unless this card is drawn.)
7: Play the 7-up game.
8: Play the category game. The one who cannot name anything under that particular category loses.
9: I-have-never game.
10: You can add a rule to the game.
Jack: All the male drinks.
Queen: All the female drinks.
King: Add anything you want to a cup. The last/4th king drawn will have to eat/drink everything inside that cup. Disgusting much.

So we played around 3 rounds... and of course there were casualties arising from this. Btw this was my second time drinking alcohol.

Since it was too late for public transport home, I had to call cab to get me and bh home.
