Chapter 184: Busy Days

Saturday 27 Nov. Went to Junction 8 as my cousin's giving a treat for his belated birthday. We ate at Ding Tai Fung. We're searching for that place. I know where it is, i've seen it several times, but i have poor sense of direction. So we went treasure hunting for it. In the end, I have a feeling its the entrance on the left, but my dad went to the right. Only to find out that its the left side and I'm right. At least my memory isnt failing me, despite the fact that i'm growing old every passing day.

So we found the place. I ordered egg fried rice. Apparently most of the other foods are unsuitable for consumption of my taste buds. And the soft drinks there were a whooping SGD2.50. So I decided that I shall be nice (like always) and avoid ordering that. I ended up having Sprite from NTUC that costs SGD1.30. At NTUC, i was filling up the form for my mum. There were 5 choices of prizes. I read it, translate it to chinese to my mum and asked her what she wanted, and i filled it in. The only dilemma lies in whether Europe is 欧洲 or 澳洲. But that doesnt matter as most probably we wouldnt want that. And the poor me still hasnt experienced an air flight before, although i also didnt want that prize. BESIDES, what are the chances of actually gettin the prize. Oh, and there was this aunty beside me who asked me if she needed to fill in the prize she wanted. My mum explained to her. And my mum still asked me to tell aunty what prizes there are.. NEITHER DOES SHE KNOWS THAT THE AUNTY CAN READ ENGLISH. She was reading them out already..

Oh and I forgot to mention. Before reaching the carpark, i saw someone crossing the road at the traffic light. She looked like Mrs Ong, my chemistry teacher.

Ok, back to the story. Ah and when i (or should i say everybody) was waiting for my aunt who was queuing for some lucky draw (or was it free gift.), I saw Darren Leong. I walked out and called him, waved hello and turned back. And he was walking towards me, but i didnt know till my mum told me. He was here to do some proposal thing? (if i didnt hear him wrongly.) What a coincidence. I've been meeting people i know at J8.

Then we went to Serene Centre to eat ice cream. To be exact, we went to Island Creamery for delicious ice cream. I ordered (or should i say my cousin helped me to order) 2 scoops ice-cream (1 of holicks and 1 of cookies & cream). The ice-cream was nice! Thats why i posted a status on facebook saying i went there.

Then everybody goes to my house. I was checking facebook on my phone. Then I realised that Jacquelyn went there 45 mins later, and Matthew frequented that place in the past. Oh, then we're watching TV (maybe not me as i am meddlin with my phone).

Time flies. Then we went to some coffee shop in Ubi which my dad frequents and we ate there. I think i ate mixed vegetable rice. Then my relatives left for home. My dad, my mum and I went to Orchard to wait for my sis's dismissal from work.

Here comes the irony. My sis is younger than me, as such, she didnt meet the age requirement of many jobs, thus finding jobs is a hassle for her. As for me, i can work as I'm 17 this year but i refused to work. =D

Ah but this sucks. This mean we need to shop Isetan for a few hrs before she was released from her work.

And when we got home, it was nearly 11pm. And it was time for Man U vs Blackburn. Good for me, Man U thrashed Blackburn 7-1, with Berbatov hitting the target 5 times.
As it was too late, i couldnt use com anymore... so sad.. =( So i went to sleep.

Sunday 28 Nov. Went to grandparents hse without my sis as she left for work earlier... Initially we decided to leave around 6 and catch a movie at Orchard Cineleisure... However, the seats were almost all taken up except first 3 rows when we checked with the internet. So we scrapped that idea. We camped at grandparents hse till around 9? We were watching TV programmes.. like 至尊红颜 and 爱. Uh I had chicken cutlet rice for dinner.

Then went to Orchard again to fetch my sis back from work. Oh the scores for EPL that night was Chelsea drew 1-1 with Newcastle. That puts Man Utd to the top of the EPL table!!!

Mon 29 Nov. Went to sch early for Chemistry Research Project. Leong Shuen reached first. Josh reached next. Matthew reached next. And the time hits 8.30am. We're supposed to meet at 8.15am. That brings me to a very dying question that makes me wanna shout it out loud. WHERE IS QUEK JUNFENG?!?!?! He's suppose to be the tea-provider for our project. He came at around 8.50am -.-

Our Chem project is called Toothfairy. Inspiring right? Matthew thought of it LOL. Nice name, i must say and compliment.

So we tested 4 samples of different coffee, 1 sample of lipton tea and orange juice (made from violently smashed orange) I hope that smashed orange is annoying orange LOL. A few days ago, Yi An just showed me a Youtube Video on Annoying Orange and Charlie. And that was .... I'm speechless.

Thru this project, junfeng was repeating his serial dilution for SIX TIMES! although he was sick of it, he must have perfected his serial dilution skills. He must be lv 100 at it now. So beware when sch reopens, he will flaunt his serial dilution skills and own all of us. At last we finished it.

Then we went out to eat. Initially they wanted to eat some Jap buffet. To me, I could only feel horrified. Japanese food? Sushi? Fish? Mushroom? Fish, seafood, fish, fish and fish and fish and fish and fish somemore!?!?! How am i gonna survive this man... I rather live off Old Chang Kee, with my curry puffs LOL. We ended up in somewhere i sweared i will never visit again... (yet i did. Haiz)

Chapter 183: Khawy

Nich Khaw is scolding me for not initiating the msn conversation with him..
Well, most of the time, he was the one to initiate the conversation.
But in actual fact, to most of the people in my msn, I dont initiate conversations with people. And all that lies down to one fact, and that is i am shy.
Due to that, i always wait for ppl to initiate conversation wif me and seldom initiate the conversation myself..
Actually, i will only initiate the conversation if i really got smth to ask or say to that person.
So, feel free to initiate the conversation!

Oh and my analysis was right about nich khaw (nk) and jefferson. Both of them went overseas at that point of time. Nk went to dubai and he actually received my SMS!?!!?!? oh my god, i think i'll get a more exp phone bill..

But, nk's parents said that overseas charges might not apply there.. idk why. Isnt Dubai in United Arab Emirates?
Or issit some Free Trade Agreement thing? ok, ignore me, im crapping.
Just hope the charges arent too great.

Oh, and today i had my last cca session for the year :)

And... The Festive Comet have landed on Mousehunt! So cya.. gotta sound the horn!

Chapter 182:

Firstly, I have added some songs and deleted some songs from my playlist on this blog. Enjoy!

To start off.. we had GP lecture for the day. Its about modern world, democracy, capitalism and so on.. Basically it just sounded like history lesson. History, which I told myself not to take after sec sch.. cause somehow i dont find the interest in it. The irony part is that it is my pure humans subject which earned me an A1 in the O levels.. well, I was ok with Modern World History. But Southeast Asia simply puts me off.. I just memorised the whole essays for SEA history... this is because there are only 3 chapters for it.. and all are gonna come out. So u jus need to bang on 1 chapter for the O's and gd luck in handling the permutations.. (damn, made me think of P&C in Maths..)

Then I went for CCA before heading to KFC to eat lunch with the guys. Junfeng (jf) was overcharged. He was charged $7.15 for student's meal Zinger. So he told the cashier, whom seeked help from another colleague. I, immediately, went to the next counter to order my Zinger Student Meal lest i'm the next one getting overcharged. $4.50. I'm glad.

Then went on to Maths Peer Tutoring Session to help jf out. While yian went on to help matthew. (matt) Well, i must say, jf made the right choice. Cause matt and yian were having some little tension during the session... maybe they got used to scolding each other for the sake of fun, joy and laughter.

Then the rain came. Went home via mrt.

Left shortly after to Vivo City to catch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 with my sis. To me, it was a good show. But not to my sis, as she doesnt like this type of show..

Went home after that.

Oh, i read the newspapers and saw that Germany is going to scrap the conscription thing in order to prevent another world war. I hope this happens to Singapore by 2011.. I want it to be voluntary and not mandatory.

Btw, fingers crossed, hopes Man U beat Rangers tonight. And tonights gonna be a good good night.

Chapter 181: Weekend Review

On saturday, I went to suntec city with my family. My sis wanted to get the Sony Ericsson Vivaz phone. (and for some reason, i keep misthinking that vivaz phone belongs to the Samsung company -.-)We waited long for the number. Only to discover that Vivaz phone is not on the promotion, as such, the exhibition hall isnt selling it -.-

Oh, the situation there is alot of people and very noisy. And binghui (bh) just got to call me at that time to ask me about Transformation of Curves -.- From what i know, yi an didnt answer his call. And it was too noisy to fully grasp what he was saying. So it takes quite a while for me to comprehend him. And its very difficult to teach over the phone. For Transformation of Curves, it is easier to teach person-to-person, because no way can i imagine the shape of the curve lol... and the worse thing is that he told me he lost the lecture notes for that chapter -.-

The main highlight of the day is the night. (i know this sentence sounds odd and doesnt seem to flow LOL.)

This is because there is EPL at night lol.
The first joy of the day came when tottenham beat arsenal 3-2 :) Thus, giving the possibility of man utd overtaking them at the 2nd place spot.
The second joy of the day came when man utd beat wigan 2-0, with wigan down to 9 men from 2 red cards.
The third joy came when chelsea lost 0-1 to birmingham.
Oh, and Dabo must be happy that Liverpool beat West Ham 3-0, contrary to his prediction of a 2-0 defeat.

Sunday

There was supposed to be class outing. But I didnt go.
They plan to go cycling at ECP AGAIN! Thats the first reason why i didnt want to go.
Its like wasting $ cycling twice over 3 days period.
The second reason is that i need to go grandparents hse every sunday... which i had already skipped several times for class events...
The third reason is that my closer friends arent going? Darren told me that he needs to prepare for D&D and he'll be busy. Nich Khaw didnt reply me. He isnt online too... i think he's overseas? And if that happens, i hope he doesnt bring his phone along... orelse overseas sms charges apply -.- As mentioned, I met jefferson few days ago. He told me he'll be heading overseas to India (i think), but he didnt tell me when. Judging by the fact that he isnt online these few days, I conclude that he is overseas now and therefore not going. LOL.

So I ended up going to my grandparents house.

And now to share a joke I saw from the web:

A family in the Southern Province of China, were puzzled when the coffin of their dead grandmother arrived from the States. It was sent by one of the daughters.

The dead body was so tightly squeezed inside the coffin, with no space left in it! When they opened the lid, they found a letter on top; which read as follows:

Ah-ma is wearing 6 CK T-Shirts. The large size is for Ah Bak and the others are for my nephews. Just distribute them among yourselves.

The 2 new Armani Jeans that Ah-ma is wearing are for the boys.

The Rolex watch that Lee Ah Bai wanted is on Ahma’s left wrist.

Kiasu Aunty Pei Pei , Ahma is wearing the Tiffany necklace, earrings and ring that you asked for. Please take them.

The 6 white Polo cotton socks that Ah ma is wearing must be divided among my teenage cousins.

Let me know what else you need as Ah Kong also not felling well nowadays. I can send all required things when our Ah Kong goes back too.

Chapter 179: Megamind

18/11- Took a bus with my sis from home to amk hub. Sole purpose is to catch the movie called megamind. We reached kinda early.. so we decided to go shopping at ntuc for stuffs for smuggling. While browsing at the tibits, i saw Joseph. Lol and to think i met 3 ppl on 17/11. And later i saw jiayun too, but idk if she saw me. Oh, so we chose our tibits and went to pay. The queue is short but the waiting time is on the contrary. The cashier was ... moving by 1 frame per second? Then we went in to the cinema. Oh, I forgot to mention the part abt gettin the tickets.

The tickets came from redemption of points from a card my dad has. He made me the recipient to go collect it. When collectin, suddenly, the person asked for cardholder's signature!?!?!? Then, i stared hard, literally, on the paper, and saw "Cardholder/(Entrustee?) Signature" So i went on to sign. It feels weird signing something that formal.

Oh, as i was saying, or shld i say typing, we went into the cinema. And watched the show! The show was good, unique storyline i think. As for more details, go and watch, i shouldnt be a spoiler.

Chapter 180: CDP @ ECP

Went earlier to ECP for some fun, joy and laughter. All that are supposed to reach has reached except junfeng (jf). So I called him. Before this, my friends have already called couple times but were fruitless attempts. So when i was calling him, I am already mentally prepared for it. Prepared to get the call ignored, or the infamous call divertion to pizza hut delivery strategy employed by him, or he jus listen to what i say and put down the phone w/o replying. Surprisingly, he answered the phone, BUT he spoke at a very soft sound.

Oh, speaking of him coming late, binghui (bh) was exceptionally early today. I got a shock when he told me he was reaching compasspoint in 5 mins when im still at home... This is because he is late almost every other time LOL. Something must have knocked him into his senses.

Ok, back to the story about Mr Quek (jf). Later when he came, we made a historical, monumental and priceless discovery! Our dear mr quek (jf) has lost his voice! What a peaceful day we're going to get today! LOL just kidding. So we went to ECP. (East Coast Park, in case you're wondering) We went to cycle! I shall spare yian the embarrassment on this by not reporting this. So we went to cycle!

Bh was all the time trying to be funny. He likes to let the wheel of his bike collide with another.. Also, he likes to pull people shirt out of the neatly-tucked-in-position when he is cycling beside a fellow cyclist. His most remarkable "contribution" of the day is the jam breaking infront of josh's bike. In the end, they collided and I was behind them so i crashed on to the back wheel of his bike.. But no one was injured in the incident. Josh had to jump off the bike to prevent harm..
Jf also another one who tries to be funny although he doesnt have his voice -.- He likes to go close to another bike... pretending he's gonna crash onto the bike beside him...

Later we went mac to takeaway lunch and hanged the food and drinks on the bike... After cycling, matthew's coke tasted weird (according to him). Mine tasted abit weird too as a result of too much vibration during the cycling LOL. Oh btw, as a result of mr oong (bh) playing too much with biking, he has gotten a cut on his heel.

After all was done, it was time for CDP. Sandcastle building. The best part abt sandcastle building for me is to collect seawater. This is impt, cause the 3 steps to building a sandcastle is water, sand and pressure. So i achieved 1/3 of the steps. I also scooped some sand with the spade, thus contributing the "sand" part. 2/3 done. As for pressure, i didnt do it.

After sandcastle building, there was reflection and cheer and explanation of the sandcastle. Then i went home with bh. On the bus, he fell asleep. It was an alien bus to me, i had never taken it before... neither do i know when to alight... so i was hoping he wake up at the correct moment and not too late... And he really did woke at the correct moment. We reached compasspoint.. and we took buses home separately. He took 163, that had the potential to head to Toa Payoh if he fall asleep in the busride. I took 86 home.

Luckily, he didnt travel all e way to toa payoh and managed to keep awake.. and he plastered his cut at last at home. Oh, speaking of this, i jus rmb that james is a very bad guy. He put sand into my pocket -.- He made me traffick sand on buses... and i could only get rid of them on the way home -.-

That concludes the day.

Chapter 178: Shopping with parents

The start of the day. Went to Kovan. Ate lunch. Went to find keysmith (i hope this word exists), to duplicate keys (duh)
The person charge SGD3 per key duplicated. My dad thinks its too exp, so we went all over kovan to search for an alternative. But the efforts were futile/fruitless...

Off to the next stop. Bishan. Went searching all over bishan for keysmith but to no avail too. And i thought i saw nich khaw there... but he says he isnt there. So its probably another case of mistaken identity. So we went to shop at Junction 8. First, I saw nk's cousin. Later on, I saw mao ziyuan. And then further down the timeline, i saw jefferson. LOL. What coincidence.

Later, we went on to search hougang. But to no avail. Then we just bought dinner home.
And that marks the end of Hari Raya day out.

Now to share some random joke i got from a show.

I will adapt that and come up with a diff scenario:

Doctor: I think we'll have to put you through this therapy.
Patient: What are the chances of failure?
Doctor: Well, we have never failed before.
Patient: Wow, thank goodness.
Doctor: This is our first time trying this out.

Chapter 177: The School

Now, my cca seem to have ceased to exist. There is no news of it at all... Most of the time i ask my friends, they just said there is no cca.. So now i am waiting for news of it resuming. But apparently, my cca seemed to have vanished into thin air. Nvm, thats actually quite great for me.. considering i dont have to spend extra time with my cca.

The school is starting its attack and pouring of homework upon us. Our measly near zero holiday is now made worse with the invasion of the homework monster. If it is made into a mouse in mousehunt. I will get a full page of red boxes

For lunch today, we went to amk hub to eat. Its hard on for josh to help us look after the seats.. cause there are 6 of us and he has to loook after both tables... and commonly ppl will jus see the empty table and walk happily there and sit down and smile :)

Matthew went back first and its his turn to suffer the same fate.. Well, initially we jokingly said to jus leave a pack of tissue paper there -.-

btw yi an isnt with us as he had left earlier for chem olympiad. Cause he pro in chem 97th percentile. But he ended up doing only mcqs lol. So he's not with us and i realised that i became the shortest -.- Ah i really wished i could grow taller :X Well, yian is probably gonna kill me if he sees this, but who cares :D

Oh, just played 2 rounds of dota with darren leong, nich khaw and (michael and friends). The 1st round is known as the xms vs rest match. Darren, nk, mich and me VS rest. Darren using vengeful, nk using dark seer, i using shadow priest, mich using treant protector. Opponents are bone clinkz, viper, ursa warrior and lycan. We won.

2nd round was just mix and match. Darren(batrider), me(tidehunter), mich fren(crystal maiden), mich(centaur) VERSUS nk(magnataur), viper, bone clinkz and luna. I lost this round.

Chapter 176: Monday Review

Reviewing of the EPL Games that took place over the weekends.
First of all, Man U drew Aston Villa 2-2. They didnt play well.. and were trailing by 2 goals to nil till the closing quarter of the game. Thankfully for the substitute Macheda's goal and Vidic's header, man u managed to level it and gain a point. Quite sad they didnt win it though 5 mins of injury time were given.

Sadly, Arsenal won 2-1 Everton. They overtaken the second spot in the EPL table and leaving man utd to the third spot.. despite Man U being the only team unbeaten yet.

Lastly, Sunderland beat chelsea 3-0!!!! AT STAMFORD BRIDGE! I was amazed by the results. Probably the best joy for the day LOL.

Moving on..
On my way to the bus stop. I looked at the bus stop. No one there. I thought the bus had just left and i had missed it... so i was sad and walked at normal pace. Suddenly, i turned my head to look right. I saw the bus zoomed past me at a fast speed. It just freaking zoomed past me, straight in my face! Leaving me stunned. As there was no one in the bus stop and none alighted, the bus just skipped the bus stop as if it doesnt exist. And i was still far from the bus stop... So i just have to wait for the next bus to come... Although it came at around 8.05, i managed to reach at 8.35. And sch starts at 8.45. Wasted my brain cells for feeling afraid of being late for sch for the first time of my whole entire lifetime.

And i am still very sad for the fact that there is no more katekyo hitman reborn anime for me to watch!!!! In my opinion, thats the best anime on earth and the only anime i watch... well, with the exception of pokemon. Digimon doesnt appeal to me at all.

From now on, I will stop visiting social places like pool, lan, etc as my parents are afraid I will become the victim of a gang attack. So from now on, i will stay at home 24/7 facing my computer :D Well, that sounds great, i love having time with my computer... BUT there is still school :(
The sch is now having lectures for next yr syllabus.. which is hardly effective, considering the activation of holiday mode.. Now, to me, it feels like everyday is holiday LOL.

Chapter 175: Oral Presentation

I hope u manage to guess this title correctly.

OP was quite ok. I spoke for 4 and a half mins out of a max of 5 mins given, which is a good thing. This is because my practices are always 4 mins or so only.
The Q&A Question was not easy. They asked me: "How do you measure the success of your institution?"
I was tempted to say: "Use a ruler to measure."
In the end, i talked abt surveys, checking work performance, checking with employers, compare them with their peers.

After the OP, it was a huge relief. Matthew said that i shld have said "Use a measuring cylinder and water to measure. Count the volume. Later, use length X breadth X height to calculate again. If these 2 values of volume do not coincide, then reject the whole experiment and proposal. This institution will not work."

Oh, there were only 2 external assessors for the OP. And some "lucky" groups will receive a whooping bonus of 6 assessors (with the influx of 4 internal moderators).

And lastly, why must man u match be at 4am today -.- How to watch...

I got CIP tmr.. or shld i call it Service Learning Project.

Chapter 174: Pre Oral Presentation

From the title, u can predict what the next chapter title will be.

I'm feeling stressed up and nervous now... hopefully it doesnt last till tmr. I hope i can present as fluently and as calm as how i did durin the OP Practices..

I hope nervousness will not empty my brain at any moment durin the OP.. And I hope the assessor be kind to me and not kill me with the Q&A. The section that is most feared by many, to the extent that if it was a mouse in mousehunt, u will get red-boxed and courage crippled, with deduction in points, on every hunt.

Thus, there is a real need and lots of luck is needed to pawn the crap out of the Q&A.

Anyway 1 last tip to share for Q&A.
If this is ur question: Won't your strategies pose a huge financial problem/strain on the govt?
You can answer this: "Ask the stupid rich guy who attempted to buy liverpool FC to support the govt instead. Its a more worthy cause for him to do so. He should alleviate the financial problems of his own country and not bother abt other countries."
You will definitely get an EE (Exceeding Expectations) for your Response to Question Section. Well, that answer indeed exceeds people's expectations... doesnt it.. who would have expected that answer XD

I hope everything goes well tmr... then after that, i have to prepare mentally for thursday as well... where we'll be doing our Service Learning (SL) project somewhere at the west... and it would take me around 1 hr to travel there by the MRT..

Oh, and the EPL table is looking nice too.. Hope it will still look appealing to my eyes after tmr...

Chapter 173: School

Went to sch later than usual as there is no more morning assembly.
Nich lim's dad is fetching him and I today.
So we went to sch. I entered the class.
The guys started playing dota as there is nth much left to do for pw already and the teacher isnt here...

This lasted all the way up till 12.15pm. But at 12.10, we already decided to go out to eat. However, we made a major discovery! There is issue of results slips today as shown by the timetable. So we decided to make do with it with the sch canteen food.
Some guys went to general office first to pay $90!?!?! And that is required for students taking the retest... nice strategy to earn money. Either you pay and retest or its the end.

Just then, matthew received a call, we're required to return to class for result slip handout.. while walking out, we met mrs chng. She asked yi an to meet her too as he too failed GP. She said that we'll have remedial tgt when sch reopens. She asked if we're on good terms with one another. I said yes.

Anyways i feel like saying no LOL. I dont like him because he is smarter than me LOL, just kidding.

Headed back to class, received results which we shld already known. Then pw tutor came in to give some instructions for OP on wed, and some misc stuffs for PW.

After that, I went to marymount mrt to proceed to RJC to find nich khaw (nk). Because i wanted to get the ksbull from him LOL. It was sold out like hotcakes [as mentioned by mrs chng.] When i reached, nk was persistent that i enter his college... so i got to practice my holy persuasion skills [dota] and i succeeded in persuading him to come out to pass me those books. Then i went home.

Chapter 172: PW OP

I got 73/90 for the op workshop and my group got 17/20 for the grp op.. so i got 90/110 for it IF i never count wrongly.. sadly that is only practice.. the real deal is yet to come. And we havent had the section on Q & A yet. Which is seemingly the toughest considering they ask u 1 question and u need to answer up to 2 minutes!?!?!?

So we got to come up with a question bank. I did thought of the strategy of writing the qn bank in the cue cards.. but that was advised against by the tutor LOL.

And for our Oral Presentation (OP), X Marks the Spot. Makes me think of dota's admiral prooudmore's 3rd skill lol.

Here i am going to share some tricks in answering Q&A for PW OP.

Q1: How do you ensure that your project is feasible/useful?

Oh, let us take a look this way. Our project is just like the bottomless trap hole. It is flawless (floor-less). In other words, its perfect, every one that drops into our project will be caught by it! And thus, its useful.

Q2: How does your project stand out from the rest?

Our project stands out because our project is the best. It is done by the best group using the best strategies and brainstormed with the best brains. Furthermore, our project makes an effort to stand outside my house everyday. Wind Rain never change.
