Chapter 276: Weekend Review

Presidential Elections on Saturday. How I wish I could vote too...
Waited with my sis for my parents to return from voting. Coincidentally, my neighbour next door came to chat with us, dispelling some boredom. When my parents returned, we went to grandparents place. My dad fetched my grandparents for their voting duties. My grandmother commented that she will vote for the most goodlooking one as she doesnt know anything abt them LOL. (anyway, I will not reveal who as voting is secret.)
And back to the focus of that day - The Elections.
So I camped till late night and sources shown that TT is leading TCB by 8000 votes and a recount was asked for. So I immediately reacted ...... by going to sleep as it might take hours.
The next morning, news came that TT was the president elected, winning over a razor thin margin.... maybe they really should have elimination rounds, where candidates are eliminated one by one, so as to gain majority votes. Now we have a president where 65% of the Singaporeans did not want. (and not to mention his command of Chinese, his preferential treatment of his sons NS obligations [if true], and most importantly his Colonel Sanders look-alike-face)

If only...
The rejected votes gone to TCB, then he would become president instead.

Moving on to Sunday. We have a clash between Manchester United and Arsenal.
And they just thrashed Arsenal left right center 8-2.
The goals from Ashley Young were superb, and so was the free-kicks by Rooney.
But it was bad for Arsenal, having lost Nasri and Fabregas to Man City and Barca respectively... and they were compounded by a series of injuries and suspensions...
Nevertheless, the goals were necessary to overtake Man City at the top of the table :D
The youngsters at Man Utd were great... they must be looking forward to their first Premier League title this season!

Before the match, my family went out to Bugis. A place where there are people than the cars travelling in Singapore at any moment in time. We went to eat before the usual shopping stuffs with family. Nothing much.

Anyways, at press time, its Hari Raya! So Selamat Hari Raya!

Chapter 275: School Life

My Form teacher told my classmate, Yian, that he is very funny. This is because his SGC (Singapore Graduation Certificate) draft has the name "Nicholas" repeated a few times... you should know the reason why...

The detriments of copy and paste function.

The word of the day is "Titillating"
In case you wonder what the word means: Click here
When my GP teacher asked my friend what titillates him? He answered GP. Then we burst out laughing and my GP teacher asked him not to bluff and wanted him to show that by scoring A in the GP essay test...

Speaking of the GP essay test... its very difficult..haiz I think I'm gonna fail it again..

Thursday night - my friends and I went to eat 煮炒. We ordered BBQ stingray, kangkung and prawn egg. Trying to eat new food orelse it will/might be difficult for me in the near or far future.

Friday after school - Had a great time playing captain's ball with the class, though it's very tiring and sore for legs...

And prelims are coming... damn sian again... really dislike examinations.

Presidential elections tmr... too bad I am not old enough to vote. Voting seems fun LOL.

Chapter 274: The unlucky day

The day started off with the best and everything just go downhill.
Man Utd had beaten Tottenham 3-0. Finally a clean sheet for David De Gea. Too bad I cant watch the match as it is shown at 3am -.- But there is always repeat on Mio LOL.

First thing is that the alarm clock failed to ring. Luckily, my sis woke half an hr later to find out that WE WERE ALL LATE. And so... we rushed and I got a ride from my father to school instead of taking the public transport. Was early nonetheless, orelse I will break my clean record of 0 times late since 1993.

During PE, we played softball (similar to baseball). The first round of fielding was terrible for us as we let 4 home runs... Our batting was similarly (as bad) as the teacher pitched too low for us to bat properly....
Our second round of batting was not very good too, though better. The second round of fielding was better. The first batter hit the ball and I caught it after it bounced a few times. He had reached the first base by then. Suddenly, I realised he was beside me (Yes, he continued to run... greed.) So I threw the ball to the second base and Yi An sent the first runner out.
The second batter sent the ball near me, I picked it up and threw it to the first base. Binghui caught it with ease and send the second batter OUT. The third batter was much more decent, alot of flop ups with our fielding, and he managed it to the third base. Nevertheless, the fourth batter let the ball near the pitcher and it went back to first base, sending the third batter out.
3 strikes and its over.

Played soccer after that, and it was terrible. We were seemingly "short of defenders". And 2-0 down thats it.

Basketball after that and I sprained my thumb... now its swollen and I cant apply force using the thumb (I cannot write properly too...)

Then we went back to class for economics lesson. And this was when I realised I lost my wallet... I remembered picking it up at the basketball court before leaving... So Binghui and I traced back our movements in an attempt to search for the wallet... but to no avail. Then, my econs teacher advised me to report to the General Office immediately. So, I left the class and went to the General Office.
On the way there, I ran into James and Darren (both sold separately) and I gathered them together in the hunt for my wallet. We went to check the basketball court once again and even the toilet that I went to. When all was fruitless, the General Office was the last solution. The receptionist (or whatever u call it) said "There are no items found today." I opened the lost and found book and saw another person also lost smth.. he's from 17/11. Abit of coincidence, but nvm. Then, I went back to class...

Haiz I thought I would never lose things because of my heavy paranoia for losing things... and yet I did... I would always check for my wallet and phone in my pockets... somehow I didnt do so when I walked from reading room to class...

After the lesson, Joey told me that her friend had found my wallet. So, I got it back from her after she got it from her friend. Thankfully, the wallet was fully intact. The 27 dollars, the IC, the EZ-link and most importantly my Jay Chou photo (just kidding), and other miscellaneous stuffs.

Just some points to ponder, which remains a mystery (to me at least.) Firstly, how did my wallet ended up being found at room 1311 when I didnt even go there...
Secondly, how did the person who found my wallet know which class I am in...

Ah, all that doesnt matter now since I got my wallet back with nothing lost :D Really lucky for me...

And that marks the end of the unlucky day... more stuffs will just really plunge me into the great depression.

Chapter 273: Life

As expected and hoped for, Man Utd beat West Brom 2-1.. Young keeper De Gea blunders again... hopefully he will improve...

Things at home are not so good. The heater spoilt a few days ago.. in order not to bear with the cold bath, my mum had to boil water and mix them with large amounts of cold water to prepare our baths... its like water rationing. One pail of bucket for bathing. Quite an interesting and different bathing experience to me nonetheless... and I'm glad the heater is fixed today and had a nice bath.

And tmr marks the last day of the normal school timetable. From next week onwards, the truncated timetable will kickstart and dismissal time is really very early, so that we have time to study after sch.

As the A levels come closer, the prelims come even closer, and not to forget, the End of A Levels (a.k.a the beginning of the freedom) comes closer too. All at the same rate. Soon next year, I will begin 2 year course on "Suffering" unless the specialist review on the Sept Holidays proved otherwise.

PE was rather fun, a switch from softball to soccer. Soccer was my favourite sport, though I suck at it (really suck). My team was 2-0 up in the beginning and ended up 3-5 in defeat after the sudden shift of defenders to attackers role.
Everyone in the team knew their roles (defender, midfield, striker) initially until we were 2-0 up. We then push too many people forward and ended up with 2 defenders and a poor goalkeeper to withstand the menace strike force of the opposing team... only to concede time and over to make the score 3-5.
The PE teacher said that we are allowed to slide, provided we dont injure anyone. And that made me think of my sec sch friend, who is arguably a sliding-enthusiast, he likes sliding so much that he even slided in a hockey match at AJC Openhouse LOL.

Recently, I am enticed by the song "爸,我回来了" by Jay Chou. It was a rather old song by him. But it is nice to the extent that I repeatedly play this song from youtube. (To add on, there is a hassle of keep pressing replay and there is no such function in youtube... And mixpod doesnt allow most of Jay Chou's songs to be placed into the playlist on my blog... So that explains the absence of his songs here...)

Chapter 271: National Day Eve

And... Man U beat Man City 3-2 :D Dramatic and amazing comeback from 2-0 down, thanks to goals from Smalling and Nani (2) :) Yay, community shield is lifted by Man Utd!!

National day celebrations as per normal. Nick Shen came to my school. In case u dont know who that is, simply copy paste his name onto google and do an image search.
Went home after that before heading out to meet my friend (whose identity is concealed due to request. The only clue I can give is that he is a male.)

He was already eating lunch wif his friends, so I went opposite to Rivervale Mall to eat. Wanted to eat at Long John initially but it was kindof expensive.. Macdonalds was flooded... not with water, but people. KFC was the next alternative, somewhat full but tried nevertheless... It was when I discovered the pain of eating alone... no one to help chope seats!!! And I FORGOT TO BRING MY TISSUE TO CHOPE SEATS!!!

As I queued for KFC, I kept looking out for potential available seats... and the need to ask for takeaway in case all seats are occupied. Bought lunch and sat down and eat. Went to Nex.

My friend was at Starbucks (he had lunch at Sushi Tei just now) with his other friends (who also cannot be revealed to conceal his identity in case he get assassinated or any other possible forms of danger.) Upon knowing that seats were selling fast for our movie (that we wanted to catch... it dropped from 2 rows of free seats to SIX SEATS!!!), we dashed to Shaw Theatres...

Horrors of horrors ... the queue.. Got over with it in around 10 mins and asked if we could get hold of the tix to the 3 of the remaining 6 seats... (luckily, 3 of them are next to each other/adjacent to each other)

So we caught the movie: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2
It was quite ok except that the fighting scene (or should i say magical fighting scene) was abit too uninteresting.. we expected much more exciting magical battle! LOL. (must be too much of those fiction games that relate to magic, war, etc.)

My friend and I then went to eat macs as he had a voucher. It's regarding Pepper chicken Mcgrill, a new food in macs I suppose. Buy it and get something free. It costs 4.80. So we split costs and 2.40, a burger each.

Went home after that.

And of course not to forget, Happy National Day! Happy Birthday Singapore!

Chapter 270:

And finally, here comes the "long" weekend. Saturday and Sunday are the normal weekends, and Monday is half-day (celebrations), following by Tuesday and Wednesday for National Day and day off respectively! So its a 2 days + half day + 2 days off!
How nice if weekends were 5 days and weekdays were 2 days instead.

This week's GP lecture is conducted by my own GP teacher. Luckily, she didnt call me to answer any questions, or it would be my 3rd consecutive time getting called during GP lecture...

There's soccer match (community shield) tmr, hope Man Utd can beat Man City :)
It will happen!

Well, actually there is nothing much left for me to say... so I guess we'll just end here.
