Presidential Elections on Saturday. How I wish I could vote too...
Waited with my sis for my parents to return from voting. Coincidentally, my neighbour next door came to chat with us, dispelling some boredom. When my parents returned, we went to grandparents place. My dad fetched my grandparents for their voting duties. My grandmother commented that she will vote for the most goodlooking one as she doesnt know anything abt them LOL. (anyway, I will not reveal who as voting is secret.)
And back to the focus of that day - The Elections.
So I camped till late night and sources shown that TT is leading TCB by 8000 votes and a recount was asked for. So I immediately reacted ...... by going to sleep as it might take hours.
The next morning, news came that TT was the president elected, winning over a razor thin margin.... maybe they really should have elimination rounds, where candidates are eliminated one by one, so as to gain majority votes. Now we have a president where 65% of the Singaporeans did not want. (and not to mention his command of Chinese, his preferential treatment of his sons NS obligations [if true], and most importantly his Colonel Sanders look-alike-face)
If only...
The rejected votes gone to TCB, then he would become president instead.
Moving on to Sunday. We have a clash between Manchester United and Arsenal.
And they just thrashed Arsenal left right center 8-2.
The goals from Ashley Young were superb, and so was the free-kicks by Rooney.
But it was bad for Arsenal, having lost Nasri and Fabregas to Man City and Barca respectively... and they were compounded by a series of injuries and suspensions...
Nevertheless, the goals were necessary to overtake Man City at the top of the table :D
The youngsters at Man Utd were great... they must be looking forward to their first Premier League title this season!
Before the match, my family went out to Bugis. A place where there are people than the cars travelling in Singapore at any moment in time. We went to eat before the usual shopping stuffs with family. Nothing much.
Anyways, at press time, its Hari Raya! So Selamat Hari Raya!
