Got bitten several times by mosquito(es?) today.. got 6 on my elbow on 1 hand, 1 on the other and 1 on my leg... argh. I just hope those are normal mosquitoes and are not aedes (touch wood).
Got insect repellent ready for tomorrow, before their onslaught tmr against me again. Hope its super effective against the mosquitoes.
I just realised that I left out 1 part on the CNY post. We had bee hoon for lunch at my grandparents' place and my dad found rubber bands inside the bee hoon he was eating...
Later on, when my mum was looking for a rubber band and asking (my relatives) around for it, I just asked my mum to find it in the bee hoon, it's not that hard to find it.
Glad that Man Utd managed to overcome Reading 2-1 in the FA cup to progress into the next round where they'll face either Middlesborough or Chelsea. Hope they can clinch the cup...
Quite sad that I'm unable to get hold of the tickets to Jay Chou concert coming June... haiz. The selling of the tickets is at 10am today... which is impossible for me to get due to work... and then there is the queue to endure... and the need to queue earlier or risk a sold out situation... So, my dad tried to ask his friend if he could get some tickets... and my cousin tried to buy it online... but to no avail.. haiz. Queuing is something I really do not like.. no chance I guess

Chapter 372: CNY continued
On the third day of CNY, my family went to maternal grandparents house for awhile before leaving for my 2nd aunt's house. There, the adults played Mahjong (4 of them, duh), while the kids played Blackjack. As blackjack is an uninteresting game that wastes money, I didn't take part in it. Instead, we set up another Mahjong game. We set it on the dining table as no more mahjong tables were available.. What's missing now is a Mahjong paper (or rather Mahjong papers). So my mum went downstairs to buy it. After realising that my mum took quite some time and she's not back yet, I decided to call her, only to hear the sound of her phone ringing - She didn't bring her phone along.
So, I decided to send my Quick Response Team a.k.a. Search and Rescue Team to search for her whereabouts. After some time, there was also no news from them.. so I called them to find out, it spells trouble if they did not answer... But they did. They returned shortly after - my mum had went to somewhere further to buy, thus taking a longer time period.
So, we went on with the game. I don't really like the idea of gambling. So, I suggested we play healthy Mahjong - we play without money. However, they think that playing without money is boring and pointless... so, that is the popular consensus and I had fallen to the evil side of peer pressure. In the end, we decided that the first 3 rounds are called warmup rounds that are played without money involval. After that, it is game on! We played without the "tai" thing as we're not very sure of it.. The stake was 50 cents/1 dollar.
This game supplemented my income by $10.50. Of which, $6.50 is used to subsidise my sister's loss 100% because of the kind nature and good brother I am, thank you. So, after deducting the good brother tax, I bring home $4.

Glad that Man Utd managed to hold Real Madrid 1-1 at the Bernabéu. I predicted a draw, though I would prefer a win haha. Nevertheless, its a good result to have and its game on at Old Trafford!

Chapter 371: CNY
Happy CNY to all! Managed to 守睡 till 2.30am on CNY eve, could have been longer but my dad asked me to sleep haha.
On CNY day 1, the most important thing of the day is to turn to channel 855 on Starhub at 10am to catch "Three Kingdoms RPG" a.k.a. "回到三国". After the show, went to maternal grandparents house to Bai Nian. $$. Collected red packets from my grandparents, first aunt, second aunt, fourth aunt, fifth aunt. (please don't ask me what about third aunt.) Then, more from distant relatives that I do not really know..
Ate rice with chicken (both fried and non-fried), luncheon meat, tofu, etc etc. We then left for my paternal grandparents house to collect more red packets. My sis and I then went to buy Macdonalds for lunch. Around late evening, early night, we went to visit some distant relatives at Simei area to collect yet more red packets and eat more snacks. This time, the child there has grown up. He no longer asks us to play bowling or the new-generation-super-complicated-and-difficult-to-play-super-mario game.. instead, he was hardworking and entertained us with lots and lots of snacks.
We then left for home after that. Watched Man Utd game against Everton. 2-0 win. Great result considering City's loss the day before... now there is a massive 12 points lead. Yay! Nice way to celebrate this festive season of CNY.
In case you're still wondering what happened to the third aunt, that is my mum.

Coming to CNY day 2, went to maternal grandparents house today.. ate Bee Hoon then stoned... till late afternoon when my family went to Downtown East. We went to eat Fish & Co. for dinner, before watching "Journey to the West" at E-hub. The movie's plot is unpredictable and funny, good to watch in my opinion.

Chapter 370: Progress
Finally I am done with videography duties for an exercise. My videography skills has just leveled up by a bit here and there.. and so has my tripod setting skills. Nevertheless, glad that it is over and done with.. Also, completed change of command parade, which was tiring to the legs and a test of mental strength and endurance. Glad that it went out fine.
Now, the next big thing is ...
Chinese New Year of course, Angbaos and money!
After that, I will start to worry and panic all over about driving and the unknown qualification board thing... Just that little bit more... Hope to get over them soon.. and positively of course!
Recently, I've been having lots of fate with insects, which was unlucky to me ....
First, I got a grasshopper on my nose when I'm bathing ... what's worse is that I do not know it was a grasshopper until I put it close to my eye (as I am not wearing spectacles.)
The next encounter was having a cockroach landing on the back of my neck...
Hope to break out of this streak...

Chapter 372: CNY continued

Chapter 370: Progress
